Ice Skating – Olympic Plaza
Come December, the Olympic Plaza is transformed into an outdoor icerink for the entire family to enjoy.
Admission is free and skate rentals are available for $5. If you are an aspiring ice skater but are yet to master the stability factor – push bars and helmets are available!
Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre
The Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre was created to celebrate the joint history of the Squamish and Lil’wat Nations. It is a cultural and historical experience for all. The art & exhibits on display showcase both nations culures, histories, and creativitiy. Audain Art Museum
Experience the art of British Columbia, from the traditional works of the province’s First Peoples through to its contemporary masters, anchored by the important collection donated by Michael Audain and his wife Yoshiko Karasawa.
The collection includes centuries-old Northwest Coast works, some created before European contact, to the internationally renowned Vancouver photo-conceptualists of our era.
Fire and Ice Show
Every Sunday throughout Winter, head to the Skiers Plaza to check out some of Whistler’s best skiers and snowboarders fly through a ring of fire while hitting a big air jump. Free entertainment at it’s best!

Meadow Park Sports Centre
Located North of Whistler Village in Alpine Meadows, this sports centre offers something for everyone. There is a kids pool with a lazy river, a large lap pool with a rope swing and a hot tub, sauna and steam room for the adults. There is also squash courts, an ice rink and a large gym with lots of classes to choose from. If you are looking for something to do in the evenings, call the sports centre and find out when the recreational hockey games are being played. Come by and cheer on a local hockey team for free!
Village 8 Cinemas – Whistler Village
Looking for a quiet, relaxing evening after a fun filled day of adventure? Head to the Village 8 Cinema, grab some popcorn and watch one a movie on the big screen! Or maybe you simply want to drop the kids off at the Cinema and enjoy a romantic evening to yourself.
Magic Castle and Tree Fort
While your up the mountain exploring, don’t forget to stop by one of the play areas on Whistler or Blackcomb. These adventure playlands are great fun for kids to explore in the Winter wonderland that is Whistler. If you are not exploring the mountains, the outdoor play area located in the Village is the place to be.
Magic Castle – Located on Blackcomb Mountain, accessible via “Easy Out”, just above the base of the Catskinner Chair.
Treefort – Located on Whistler Mountain, just off of Bear Cub trail near the Big Red Express chairlift.
Whistler Village Childrens play area – Located in the heart of the Village, right next to the Marketplace and the Olympic Plaza.
