For the third year in a row, Tourism Whistler presents the Whistler Wine Walk. Every Friday night in October you can explore Whistler’s art scene enjoying complimentary hors d’oeuvres and BC wines at multiple galleries throughout the village. Immerse yourself in the Whistler art world with some amazing pieces from local, regional, and international artists.

This fall you can participate in the Wine Walk once again, with some slight alterations. Choose from three galleries in the main village for $15 or two galleries in the upper village for $10. Tickets are available through Tourism Whistler and cover museum admissions plus ensure social distancing with limited tickets available which will sell out. Face masks will be mandatory to keep everyone safe and healthy.

The larger galleries have so much to see and do, you may want to allocate some extra time for discovering all the impressive displays.

Founded by Michael Audain and Yoshiko Karasawa in 2016, the Audain Art Museum is one of the most spectacular buildings in Whistler. Designed by Patkau Architects, the building is a piece of art in itself and had won multiple awards. The gallery will walk you through BC art since the 18th century embracing cultural differences, first nation masks and much more. Featured exhibits from around the globe finish off this 56,000 square foot gallery.

The wine walk is held in the foyer with a sample of what you can find throughout the museum. If you do plan on paying to go in the museum make sure you leave plenty of time to do so as there are many exhibits to check out and you can spend hours appreciating the artists and the history of BC.
