This summer, there are lake days, picturesque hikes, beer drinking and axe throwing in the cards. As travel and tourism gradually re-opens, Harmony Whistler Vacations will be here for you so that you can feel at home in the mountains again. This week we are featuring Taluswood as part of our ‘Whistler Vacation Inspiration.’
THURSDAY ARRIVAL
Feel at Home in the Mountains in 'Taluswood'"
Enjoy all the comforts of home in this spacious and beautifully renovated 3 bedroom / 3 bathroom townhome, perfect for you, your significant other and 2 other couples. An abundance of windows and vaulted ceilings allow for big sky mountain views with a wood-burning fireplace to complete the alpine setting. Come home after a day exploring the mountains to soak in your private sunken hot tub. Take advantage of the full-sized chef’s kitchen for those evenings you would rather stay in for a home-cooked meal or to enjoy a quick breakfast to energize before heading out to enjoy all that Whistler has to offer. The front deck just off of the kitchen / living area is set up with a BBQ and outdoor patio furniture for those wonderful summer evenings. There is one bedroom on the main floor featuring a queen size bed. Upstairs you will find the hot tub, master bedroom and third bedroom. The master bedroom features a king size bed along with its own gas fireplace and a beautiful big en-suite with double vanity, walk-in shower, and separate tub. A third bedroom is fitted with a double bed. This is the perfect retreat for a perfect Whistler vacation.
Jump into the Weekend
Before reaching your home in Whistler, you stop at Whistler Bungee (just off of highway 99) to start your adventurous weekend.
Whistler Bungee is regarded as one of the most scenic bungee jumping sites in the world and provides an exhilarating, adrenaline filled rush by jumping 160ft (50 meters) over the glacial fed Cheakamus River.
Local Tip: If your significant other is up for it, Whistler Bungee offers a tandem jump where both of you can jump together, provided your combined weight does not exceed 300lbs.
Afternoon Shopping on the Stroll
After you and your friend’s have unpacked and explored the features of your home, you drive into the main Village for some afternoon shopping and sightseeing.
Dinner - Stonesedge Kitchen
After you have perused through the village shops, you head over to Stonesedge Kitchen for dinner on their patio. Stonesedge Kitchen embraces rustic elegance, effortless charm, and is polished without being fussy. Discreetly tucked away off the Village stroll it is the perfect place to catch up and plan the rest of your weekend over dinner.
Local Tip: Pair one of their creative cocktails with a charcuterie board which features a fresh selection of cured meats, premium cheeses, gibbons après lager beer mustard, crostini, pickles, red pepper relish and truffle honey.
FRIDAY
You’re starting to feel at home in the mountains on Friday morning as you cook up a hearty breakfast before your day of hiking. The open kitchen, dining and living plan makes it easy to socialize and prepare breakfast.
Panorama Ridge Hike
After an early rise and a protein filled breakfast, you pack a picnic and slip into your hiking shoes for a full day of hiking the amazing Panorama Ridge trail. This 30km round-trip trail takes you through forests filled with Western Red Cedar and Douglas Fir trees, meadows full of beautiful wildflowers, and rewards you with one of the most breathtaking panoramic views you could imagine at the summit.
Local Tip: We recommend getting to the beginning of the trail (Rubble Creek parking lot) around 7am or 8am as it typically takes around 10 hours round trip to complete.
Alternative Hike: If you are looking for a shorter hike, Whistler and the surrounding area has something suitable for everyone. We recommend Rainbow Falls.
Dinner - Functional Pie Pizzeria
After completing one of Whistler’s most epic hikes, its time to pick up dinner.
Functional Pie Pizzeria, located in Function Junction, keeps true to pizza’s origins by providing products that focus on simplicity, freshness and contain high-quality ingredients.
After you pick up your pizza’s, it’s time to head home for a relaxing evening with your friends.
Relax and Rejuvenate in your Private Hot Tub
After an exhilarating and long day of hiking it’s time to unwind in your own private hot tub, complete with a lush forest setting.
SATURDAY
Southside Diner Brunch
After a huge day yesterday, you head over to The Southside Diner to fill up for another adventurous day.
Local Tip: Our staff favourite is the breakfast poutine – 2 poached eggs, diced sausage, bacon, onion, homefries, cheese curds, gravy and hollandaise sauce. This breakfast favourite keeps you full well into the afternoon.
Take in the Views on your SUP

After breakfast you head over to Wayside Park where you have reserved an hour SUP rental at Whistler Eco Tours as part of our FREE Activities package. The calm waters of Alta Lake and the impressive views make it the perfect place for Stand Up Paddle Boarding.
Axe Throwing
Its time to follow up your lake time with Axe throwing at Forged Axe. Your competitive edge and inner lumberjack will swing into overdrive when learning the art of Axe throwing. The friendly and experienced staff at Forged Axe Throwing will ensure you have the most fun possible with a variety of different challenges.
Local Tip: We recommend booking ahead as this is a very popular activity and books up fast!
Whistler Brewing Company
Local Tip: Not sure which beer to pick? Whistler Brewing Company offers flights for taste testing before committing to one of their many delicious beers they have on tap.
Dinner - BBQ at Home
As your last evening in Whistler draws to an end, you fire up the BBQ, crack open the growler you collected from Whistler Brewing Company and reminisce with your friend’s about the amazing weekend you just experienced.
SUNDAY DEPARTURE

On your journey down the Sea to Sky you stop into CAMP Lifestyle + Coffee Co. for your morning coffee and treat before heading home.

Get out, take in the fresh ocean air and stretch your legs in beautiful Porteau Cove.
