Our favourite winter activities list would not be complete without skiing & snowboarding. Whistler and Blackcomb mountains offer a combined 8,171 acres of ski-able terrain, 16 alpine bowls, three glaciers and over 200 marked runs! We receive on average 1,000+ centimeters of snow annually and we have one of the longest ski seasons in North America.
Dogsledding is at the top of our staff favourite winter activities list. Based in the Callaghan Valley, an eager and powerful dog team will lead you into the magnificent old growth forest. A magical winter experience lasting 2.5-3 hours. Join your professional musher in harnessing and staging the dogs, learn the commands and how to handle a sled. Relax with your family as you ride a mellow mix of open and winding trails for an unforgettable winter journey.

There is unlimited terrain and areas to explore in and around Whistler. However, if you are looking for something more adventurous, with no crowds or people in sight, or you want to find that un-touched terrain and powder that makes you seem like you are floating on clouds then a helicopter or cat experience is just the way to do it!
Whistler has some spectacular back-country terrain and the best way to experience it all is by snowmobile. An unforgettable experience! There are lots of different tours to choose from for all abilities including beginner to advanced tours that last 2-3 hours. Tour choices may include a fondue dinner at the top of the mountain, a brief stop for a hot chocolate in a warming hut or a detour to hang out with the local sled puppies.

Visit the Whistler’s Sliding Centre for a true Canadian experience. In the winter you can bobsled or luge on the world famous track. In the summer, visit the Sliding Centre for an incredible tour and adrenaline rush on a bobsled (summer version). Whistler Sliding Centre is a non-profit organization with all proceeds going directly towards growing the sport and supporting the athletes. Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing is an outdoor activity that the whole family can enjoy. There are a few different areas to choose from throughout Whistler ranging from free, frequently groomed valley trails to amazing trail networks for all abilities. You may simply rent the gear and get on your way or book onto a guided tour or lesson.

The tube park offers great fun for all ages! Fly down the hill, no experience required on this multi lane tubing park. Whistler Blackcomb’s Bubly tube park is located at Base 2 on Blackcomb Mountain. The tube park is open until 6pm.
